Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and discovered her love to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix was 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract with Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. The following year, Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in running 200m. In 2007, she won the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her events.
