Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and developed a passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then attended at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. The youngest to win the 200 meter at the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 by beating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in each of her events.
